1. What we collect
When you use SGKampung, we collect: your account email; anything you choose to add to your profile (display name, avatar); business listing details if you create one (name, description, area, category, photos, operating hours, self-reported licenses/certifications); messages you send through the built-in chat; reviews, ratings, and photos you post; and, for the business owner's own analytics, a lightweight visit counter on their business page (based on IP address, kept only to avoid double-counting the same visit — not used for tracking individuals across the web).
2. How we use it
To operate the marketplace: showing business profiles to customers, enabling messaging between customers and businesses, showing reviews, sending you account emails (signup confirmation, password reset), and giving business owners basic traffic stats about their own listing.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the platform, each only processing what they need to do their job: Supabase (database, login, and file storage), Resend (sending account emails), and Vercel (web hosting). We do not share your data with advertisers, and SGKampung does not run any ad tracking.
4. Reviews and your email
When you leave a review, your email is stored to prevent duplicate/fake reviews, but is never shown publicly in full — other users only see a masked version (e.g. we***@icloud.com).
5. Cookies
SGKampung only uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Your rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent for us to use it. Email sgkumpung.s@outlook.com and we'll action your request.
7. Security
Your data is protected by database-level access rules that restrict who can read or write each piece of information — for example, only you can read your own private messages, and only a business owner can see their own visit statistics.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
